Advanced engine technology provider RCV Engines has appointed Bhim S Khurana as its representative in India.
This key appointment is intended to further support the application of the company's high performance, low emissions and low cost rotating cylinder valve (RCV) technology for Indian engine manufacturers. Bhim Khurana joins RCV Engines from automotive parts manufacturer Federal Mogul Corporation where until recently he held the position of technical advisor.
Following early training in the UK his career to date spans over 35 years and has included a wide range of automotive technical and business development appointments.
Khurana's skills and experience will be of use to RCV Engines in promoting new applications of its patented rotating cylinder valve engine technology.
This will be particularly important for motorcycle and scooter manufacturers, an area in which India boasts one of the world's largest markets.
RCV technology has proved to be particularly beneficial in two-wheeler applications, as demonstrated by the highly promising performance results published earlier this year for the 125cm3 RCV scooter engine developed for Motive Power Industry of Taiwan (which markets its scooter products under the PGO brand).
Khurana will become the primary point of contact with RCV Engines for Indian OEMs and component suppliers.
With his considerable knowledge of the market he is ideally placed to understand the requirements of Indian manufacturers and his input will be invaluable in facilitating license opportunities for RCV Engines in India.
Commenting on the appointment of Bhim Khurana, Eric Hill, RCV Engines Managing Director, said: 'I am pleased to welcome Bhim Khurana to the RCV Engines team and look forward to the contribution he will make in developing opportunities within the Indian market'.
'Our technology is particularly suited to high volume production two-wheelers with its competitive performance and manufacturing advantages'.
'This appointment underscores our commitment to the Indian market and to the development of an infrastructure for licensing our technology in the world's leading two-wheeler markets'.
